Today, a McDonald's employee had to correct my math after counting out $2.37 in change. I'm in AP Calculus and am currently learning how to find the derivative of an inverse of a logarithm. FML

No big deal. Simple mistake. I have a PhD in English and misstype/spell words weekly. That doesn't mean I'm any less intelligent.

Who the **** you think you are that someone from mcdonalds can't be smart? A lot of people work at chain restarunts to pay for school, medical bills, etc.

Meh, I'm a psych major and I can do that.

"the inverse of a logarithm"?? are you trying to sound smart or something? cuz the inverse of a logarithm is just an exponential function, and if f(x)=a^x, f'(x)=a^xln(a)

Have you taken calculus? you take insane logs with like reverse trig functions and have to use really complicated unnecesary ways to solve the problem. Its not fun, but its like beginning calculus

See that's your ego getting shot to pieces when you look down on others. Karma sucks doesn't it?

Because McDonald's employees can never take Calculus. Also, Calculus doesn't involve much addition or subtraction, so taking that is completely separate from your ability to count correct change. Which you should know. Have fun in your minimum wage job in 5 years when you graduate college.

I think its funny how much wrong math I see on here from people trying to be smart, just like OP. Inverse of Log(x) = Exp(x) Derivative of Exp(x) = Exp(x) While the OP is an idiot for mentioning AP Calc I'd also like to add that on the cash registers now they actually tell the employees what the change is, AND exactly how to give it: (as in the employee will literally see "3 quarters, 2 dimes, 4 pennies" or whatever the correct change is).

Dude, I'm in a math class lower than Calc, and we learned how to do that last week, no joke. By the way, isn't the inverse of a logarithm just an exponent? Yeah, it is.

Meh. I understand. I sometimes have lapses in simple math, too, and I'm taking AP Physics. No big. Some people just like to talk trash over the internet because they have nothing better to do. EDIT: Oh, but, you shouldn't trash on McDonald's employees. The economy is down the drain, and sometimes it's the only job people can find.

way to add more value to yourself.

It's nice to know how little you think of McDonald's employees since your such a big shot AP Calculus student. Wow, high school math? That sounds really hard.

Unless Op is a super smart super rich sixth grader allowed to run around doing math to save the world--then you need to get over yourself. Until you are doing college math or teaching or calculating blackholes, then you aren't a hot shot.
