Today, a pregnant woman got on the bus. There were no free seats, so I stood up to give her mine. An obese man pushed past her, waddled over, and oozed into my seat. I said it was for the pregnant lady. He called me a "sexist bitch" and claimed he needed it more. FML

This is why I generally stay in my seat regardless who gets on the bus/train/transport. Only give your seat to old people, being pregnant or fat is a lifestyle choice and people know what kind of difficulties it might entail. People don't choose to get old and stiff though.

He might have needed it - I think when you get to a certain weight - you are classified as disabled... but that was very rude of him. I hope someone else gave the lady a seat and well done for doing so and sticking up for her! I would not have had the guts to say that - well done!

Some people genuinely have obesity because of health reasons, or they over-eat because of loneliness and depression... it isn't fair to write them all off as entitled, lazy fat *****. But I'd say in this case the guy is just that: an entitled, lazy fat ****.

There is nothing wrong with me. I say "it", because if you are that grossly over weight, you become a blob and no longer rate as a person. And before you shoot any snarky comments my way, yes I know what it is like to battle weight problems. I have had to battle to keep my weight down since I sustained an injury, but I do something about it. I workout 4-5 times a week. So if they can't get up off their lazy backsides and do something about it, it is their OWN DAMN FAULT. The should be no pity given.

178 wow. While I do not condone what this guy did, you do not personally know every overweight person out there. You don't know their life or struggles or shit about them. To disregard them as human beings simply because of their weight is HORRIBLE. Do you seriously think doing that and being so disrespectful is helping anyone? You must be a pretty unhappy person, you should probably work on that instead of projecting your angry bitterness on STRANGERS.
