Today, a senile old lady came up to me and offered me chocolate. I noticed that it was ex-lax, so I politely told her no. My 4-year-old daughter pushed me aside and ate the ex-lax, because she thought it was candy. I now have a stinky child on a 3 hour bus ride, with no stops. FML

You couldn't stop your child? I'd never let my daughter take any sort of candy from a stranger. I would have said no, given a reason and distracted my daughter with something else.

Guess that's what happens when you let a 4 year old push you out of the way. If that had been my kid, she would have gotten punished for being so pushy and greedy. Teach your brat some manners! Hope she learned not to take candy from strangers...

I'm with the YDI on this one. You never taught your kid not to take candy from strangers. Then, you let your kid push you aside to take the candy - if I'd even tried that on my mother, woo I woulda wished I hadn't. Basically your child has a complete disregard for manners, and you have failed to be the *parent* to instill said manners into your child's behavior.

This is wen you grab your child and tell them no they can't have it. What kind of parent actually sits right there letting their kid eat ex-lax? You totally deserved it, and I hope some of her mess got on you while riding that bus.
