Today, after being dumped by my boyfriend of two years, I poured my heart out to my dad. He nodded and looked sympathetic throughout. Afterwards, I asked him what I should do. He replied, "How the hell should I know?" and awkwardly left my room. FML

Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

Move on. I know it's hard but every breakup is one step closer to "the one". Think about this in a positive way. I'll admit that was kinda've a bitch move on your dad but it's not suprising.

He probably left the room to gather up his thoughts and will come back later to give you his advice. My dad is like that. He never spats out things without weighing in all the info first. And he always gives me advice on a male's point of view.

I'm sorry. I dunno what I'd do if I lost the woman I love. But sadly, it is something we've all been through, and something we will probably go through again. Their is no one thing you can do to make it better, just push through the pain, and endure. The wound turns to a scar, and we will forever live with it.
