Today, after being excited and trying to make plans with all my friends, they all turned out to be busy. After watching Netflix most of the night, I check my Snapchat stories only to see them all hanging out without me at one of their houses. FML

Yeah, but it isn't like they lied, just busy without you. I'd find different friends.

Story of my life. Eventually I learned to just do things on my own.

I had this happen to me once, except I was with two people that got invited over there as well so I went with them and boy you should've seen the look on my friends' face when they opened the front door and saw me. I was friends with all guys at the time, so I ripped them a new one by crying and they felt horrible. Serves them right. But I'm sorry this happened to you, I know that feeling of how much it hurts..

I find it weird assumption that just because your friends you have to be invited to everything that they do maybe they didn't say anything because they want to do something together doesn't mean they dislike the OP. Could be there was a limit on the number of people that could be there.

As a college student, I totally feel this fml. You have to remember though that sometimes hangouts are spontaneous and people are unintentionally left out. It does feel shitty though to feel like you're the only one without a busy social life, but you're not. As I type, my flatmates (who I talked to earlier today about doing something tonight) invited people over and hung out in their room with the door shut. Without me. Literally was not invited to something within my own home. You just need to make the best of it, and hang out with the people who are available. It might not seem as glamorous as whatever they are snapchatting, but sometimes watching back to the future iii and eating ice cream is the most fun kind of night.
