Today, after getting back from my interior design class, I told my husband that I learned the golden rule for home decor: "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." He looked at me dead in the eyes, and didn't say a word. FML

Maybe he just looked at you like that because he couldn't grasp the concept of what you were saying. Like he was confused and what you said made no sense.

I think its time to upgrade your husband for a better one

He probably did that cause you probably buy random stuff that you don't need or are unlikely to use them in the future.

Maybe he's just wondering why you said it? I mean, why WOULD you have something in your house if its not beautiful or useful? You don't need to be an interior designer to know that. Its just common sense.

Perhaps he thought of a joke, but knew if he said it out loud.. it would result in a fight and held his tongue?

It's a double double negative, it's normal for him to be confused.

well that's just too confusing but i think that you should ask him what he meant by that.

Apparently, no ***** were given on his part
