wtf they aren't your friends...they contrive a plan for months just to humiliate and destroy your confidence... even if you suck at singing, it doesn't matter if they make fun of something like that (so long as they're not overboard), but to do something like that which publicly humiliates you is just way over the line people like that aren't worth anything at all
I used to work in a restaurant at Rockefeller Center and the lounge was a piano bar. Paul Schaffer (yes, David Letterman's Paul Schaffer) was there with a woman friend who was very drunk. He kept telling her "go on! You have a beautiful voice! sing something!" She finally did and she was just awful. He sat there with the nastiest smirk on his face. It was incredibly cruel. I feel for you, buddy. Your friends are not your friends.
kill them
people will forget about it in a few months, but to pass the time, go get some better friends.
I think its time to find some new friemds.....

"Today, my friend went in a singing competition. I sincerely felt his voice was great. He was booed off the stage and he thinks I was lying to him. FML"

Do you not have your own personal working ears?
Your friends are awesome! They put up with your shitty singing for months, all while keeping a straight face, just to deliver the knockout blow at this contest. It was not a "cheap laugh," but one that required a lot of dedication and had a huge payoff! By the way, I love freaks like you. For me, the only part of American Idol that is worth a shit to me is the auditions . . . I love the "horribles!" I hope you haven't retired from singing.
