You should seek a second opinion, but really if you do have pneumonia your "right lung" won't hurt, you can't feel lung pain per se, it's only if it's touching your rib cage/pleura, while reflux can in fact hurt right where you said. Especially if it's a strong or sharp pain (or burning obviously). You should check for tumors/other stuff though, but pneumonia is not likely.
I had pain in my left lung once, turned it was collapsed.
Unpopular Opinion: Maybe you should listen to him. After all, he's a doctor, and you're not.
I have trouble breathing and sharp pains in my lungs and chest due to acid reflux. it hurts like I'm being stabbed, so it doesn't sound to far off.
'******* **** it ******* hurts' Lmfao
I had that.. ended up paying for a tone of different test and x-rays to tell me I had pneumonia and fluid under my left lung, whilst I was pregnant.

Sounds like you should look for a new doctor...
Go to another doctor for a second opinion!
