Today, after shoveling one guy's steps, sidewalk, and driveway for two hours straight, I went to ask for my money. He said, "Work is its own reward!" and shut the door in my face. FML

You're missing something--did he ASK you to do the job, or did you just do it yourself, hoping he'd pay you? If it's the former, then he's an ass. But if it's the latter, sorry, but that's the risk you take. You can't ask people to pay for something they may not have wanted. I personally could not afford to pay someone to do something I could do myself--although had it been me, I would have told you to stop as soon as I realized it, to save you the trouble.

If he owns a car, I'd break one of his car's windows. =/

Take the snow and pile it up 8ft high against his front door, and car.

Dude, the guy is an asshole, live and learn. Be the bigger man, leave him to be miserable and mean spirited, dint let that ugliness rub off on you.

It's douchey of him, unless you a) shoveled, assuming he would pay or b) you are over the age of 12 and went door to door asking to shovel people's driveways for money.

If you did it without telling him or without making the agreement for him to pay money, then YDI.

pour water all over his driveway and let it freeze

Sue him...it'll teach him who he's messing with cuz putting it all back is too much work plus it's freezing!

Yeah! Sue him for, um...for, uh...wait I got this... No, I don't. Sue him for what???

Guys, I'm sure the guy told OP that he would pay him/her for shoveling his driveway. Otherwise, he would have said "I never told you to shovel it" instead of "Work is its own reward" FYL =(

that's when you put snow everywhere all back over his driveway all over the foot path and if his car it out all over the car

Pay the snow plough drive a few buck to hit a snow bank and fill in the end of his driveway with 3 feet of hard packed snow and ice, he’ll never get out.
