Hey, Im the OP. It is extremely important that you take the pills in order and you CANNOT skip a pill! If you do your hormones can get all wacky and if youre sexually active, you can get pregnant. You only have a set amount of pills in the pack and they dont give any extras.

True. Sorry OP but you are very right. There's just no way you can miss a day since birth control pills have to be taken everyday and at the same time. If you miss one, there's no point in taking the birth control pills..

That's not entirely true. A lot of pills don't actually have to be taken at the same time every day, they just recommend that you do so that it's more likely you'll remember to take them every day. Also I wouldn't say that if you miss one pill "there's no point in taking the birth control pills" at all because missing a pill doesn't make the rest of the pills useless it just makes them less effective. But better safe than sorry!

Time to switch then. I have the implanon implant (the one that goes in your arm) no periods, no weight gain, my skin has cleared up wonderfully, and my moods have leveled out and I'm covered for 3 years. Everyone reacts differently to different types of birth control, but hopefully you find one that works well for you. Nobody likes throwing up XD

Actually it really depends on the type of pill you have. For example, with the pills that I take, each pill has exactly the same levels of hormones (except for the sugar pills) so it wouldn't really matter what order you take them in

OP, you are very wrong. There was absolutely no reason for you to go digging through your vomit for the pill. All three weeks are the exact same mixture of medication. You simply throw the one you puked away and continue with the next pill in the cycle. If you read the pamphlet inside the packaging, it tells you to do this. It's really gross you felt the need to do that.

It depends on what kind of pill you have actually. With some types, all the pills have differing amounts of hormones in them so it's pretty important that you take them in the correct order.

I have been on many brands of birth control medication, and spoken to many doctors. They all have told me those exact directions.
