Today, as a student reporter for our college newspaper, I interviewed the president of my university. I was surprised to get an interview with him, and because of my nerves, as soon as I walked into his office I tripped over my own feet and fell face first into the ground. FML

So you are now in a BDSM relationship with him?

Atleast you left a lasting impression on his floor if not on him

A Fifty Shades of Gray move. Hope your interview went ok afrer that

Sometimes you just gotta laugh at yourself

If this were a scene Aaron Sorkin had written, it would go something like: "Now that I've fallen head over heals for you, tell me a little about yourself." "Haha, I know you're trying to break tension and make a joke, but I don't think that's how it works." "Based on your budgetary allocations, knowing how things work doesn't seem to be your forte." "Jesus, aren't you supposed to wait until after the interview to editorialize?" "What can I say? I'm good at multitasking." "Unless you're faced with the task of moving both feet simultaneously."

I'd say, "Sorry for what happened to you," but like the first commenter, all I want to ask is, "Did you want to try and get your own 50 Shades of Grey going by pulling Anna Steele on your university's president?"

Don't feel too bad. Right after my first interview with (now Congressman) Thomas Massie, I backed into the car of his district director. Yes, I did leave a dent.

There's no need to be nervous. As the president of the university he's also an employee and has a responsibility to the students. He should be available for interviews with the student newspaper. Unless you're going in to really hard ball him he should be very cordial and cooperative.

I didn't know Jennifer Lawrence was still in college!
