Today, as I got down on one knee, and was in the middle of saying, "Will you marry me?" my partner answered a text message. Apparently it was more important. FML

people still do that?? i thought that happens only in the movies. Relationships are not like that (not mature ones). People will go out for a while, eventually move in together and eventually it is obvious that you are one for each other.

I doubt if she was texting/reading something important he would have written an FML about it later. This is an upsetting situation. It's sucks you had to go through it. I agree with a lot of the people on here and suggest that you be happy you found out she's like this now and move on.
