Today, at exactly midnight, I get a text from my boyfriend saying we were done. I had just seen him 4 hours ago when we were out celebrating my birthday, and asked why he didnt just tell me then. He replies 'I couldn't break up with you on your birthday but i wanted it to be over ASAP' FML

@11....it may be a common word but too many people use it and some even use it incorrectly. Plus, why would you be "proceed" to do something when you can just do it without freaking proceeding!? Example: He proceeded to open the door. Why not: He opened the door.....? It makes more sense without proceeded!!!

That really sucks, but consider yourself lucky. On my 16th birthday, my boyfriend had taken me out to dinner (where our waitress left the restaurant before serving both of us and left us sitting there for an hour...the manager said we'd have to wait for them to cook the meal for him again) and then, later that night, flirts with one of my other friends and breaks up with me ON my birthday. Be glad he was nice to you on your birthday...but seriously, FYL.
