I had my in laws make constant comments about how I looked too skinny, among other anorexic comments every time I saw them. All that because I had a baby, and lost the weight quickly. Being a active duty Marine who ran 3-6 miles a day, and being a healthy eater does wonders, who knew... and I was so "unhealthy" at 5'5" 145lbs... People say whatever they can to make themselves feel better about themselves. Fit shaming is a very real thing.
Why are you listening to them, though? If you know what you're doing is right for you and you feel good about it, **** what anyone else says.
They are just jealous
Congratulations! Don't let them get to you, but remember that they love you.
unhealthy for their self esteem
I'm no nutrionalist but the most important thing is eating a healthy balanced diet. I know vegans who are constantly trying to force their diet on others but have anaemia and other nutritional deficiencies and one of which is so underweight the doctors have diagnosed her anorexic but she never stops eating. I also know vegans who are fit and perfectly healthy.
It seems that you are their doctor or you're just guessing your friend's bloodwork.
#45, you don't need to be their doctor or guess at their blood work. Most anemics will just tell you. There's really no stigma around having the condition and it's prudent to warn the people in your life so they know what is going on if you pass out. 2 of my friends are very open about having the condition. Although neither of them got it from being vegan, it just runs in their family.
Those vegans are not eating the right food, you're right they're not balancing their diet right
"Hi, my name is John and I am anemic. Go vegan!"
"SO unhealthy I'll keep BOTH of my feet."
it's possibly faggy, but definitely not unhealthy. you go!

I'm about as far from vegan as is possible, and I'm 100% on your side. If it works for you, it works for you. End of discussion. Ignore them, eat your soy, and enjoy your health.
It's their lives that suck. Way to be healthy!
