Today, during my fourth solo day working as a meter-maid, I had a vehicle towed for being parked in front of a fire hydrant. The vehicle belonged to the governor. I'm scared to even show my face at work next week. FML

Today, I got a call from a police department saying that if I didn't move my car from a store's parking lot within the next 15 minutes, they were going to tow it and charge me for the fee. I was at work and the reason I parked it there is because it started smoking and almost caught fire. FML

Today, I dropped off a box for my sister at her job. In a rush, I unknowingly parked in a reserved spot. When I got back to my car, I saw that my car was being towed. After successfully flirting myself out of an expensive towing bill, I backed into the pole behind me, leaving a noticeable dent. FML

Today, I came outside to leave for work. To my shock and horror my car was gone. My asshole neighbor, who has parked in my spot multiple times decided to let her noisy guests park in my parking spot, so I parked in hers. She had my car towed. FML

Today, when I arrived to a prospective customer's home to give her a shower replacement estimate, a sheriff pulled up behind me and arrested said customer. I drove a 3-hour round trip to this appointment. FML

It's tough to make calls like that! You made the right choise though because if they make a law for you to inforse it applys to them to! They aren't just ammune to everything because they have some power!

Its a good thing you had it towed what if there was a fire then his car would have gotten destroyed and you probably would have gotten some sort of repercussion so good for you

It wasnt so much the person i was hurling abuse at so much as the job, i really despise meter maids, parking enforcers, really anyone who tells me where or how long i can park in public spaces. Aside from handicap spaces and snow emergencies i think people should be able to where ever they want.

No one likes parking enforcement but like everyone else with a shitty job, he/she is just trying to make a living. Shitty job or not, the perks to working for the government isn't something a lot of people turn down if it comes along.
