Today, during my fourth solo day working as a meter-maid, I had a vehicle towed for being parked in front of a fire hydrant. The vehicle belonged to the governor. I'm scared to even show my face at work next week. FML

It's tough to make calls like that! You made the right choise though because if they make a law for you to inforse it applys to them to! They aren't just ammune to everything because they have some power!

If you can write people like me $100 tickets because my meter expired by a couple minutes than you can tow the governors car. Maybe it'll be a lesson that parking laws are a little too stupid

Good for you standing up to him tho. He needed to learn his position doesn't make him above the law.

He deserved it. He needs to follow the rules too

It shouldn't matter. You did your job. If he takes action I would file a lawsuit with the supreme court.

So? He's not above the law even though he won't have to pay it.

I don't care if it's Obama's Bentley. If my car gets a ticket for being 8 feet away from a hydrant, then I demand his should too.

you did the right thing. the fire department would have done worse trust me I've done it. a 5 inch supply line does a lot of damage.

No one is exempt from the laws, you were just doing your job! Besides us firemen needs access to those hydrants, he's deserves it for parking infront of one
