Today, for April fools I decided to set off the smoke detectors in my friend's apartment while he was sleeping and saran wrap the outside of his bedroom doorway so he would smack into it. Instead, he jumped out the window and broke his leg. FML

Well he's a moron for just jumping out of the window without checking to see if there was even a fire. Seriously you don't jump out the window unless there's absolutly no other way out, it probably would have been funny if he wasn't an idiot and jumped out the window for no reason.

Yea...his friend is kind of dumb. Unless the OP like heated the doorknob or something his friend should have realized that there was no fire...and i'm pretty sure you are supposed to try doors first and if they aren't hot proceed to the hallway...which would have ended in him running into the saran wrap thus realizing it was a joke... But as panicked as the friend clearly was...he probably would have burst straight through the saran wrap

this is all your fault... idk why people are saying it isn't yeah your friend over-reacted but anyone would have done the same thing if they woke up to a fire alarm. this is why april fools day is the worst holiday because people just do terrible things and shit just turns out horribly good job

I wake up to fire alarms all the time, I don't panic. I stay in bed. If there's a fire, someone will come get me. If I'm home alone, I'll just get up and check it out.
