Today, I am expected to write an 8 page essay, due tonight. The reason why I don't even have one page yet? My mom decided to take away the only computer I have the essay saved on because I have an 'F' in English. The essay is for English. FML

Today, I was told that, although I was sick on the last day before break, they would still accept the 24 page essay that I had written. Tonight, as I went to print it out, I found that my dad had "cleaned up a bit" on my computer, including the documents from last semester. I have school tomorrow. FML

Today, I broke my dominant hand. My teacher insists we hand-write our essays. I called and asked if it was okay for me to type up the essays. She said no. I have two essays due tomorrow, which count for half my grade. FML

Today, I realized I forgot to write a 5000 word essay for my English class. I tried to be calm since I had until midnight to finish, and it was only 8pm. I typed for three hours straight,and finished the assignment. I read over the instruction again, and realized it only had to be 500 words. FML

Today, I got an F because I’m an idiot and wrote my essay on WW1 instead of WW2. I offered to resubmit a correct essay, but my mom stormed to school to demand it be changed to at least a B, because it was a good essay, even if it was on the wrong war. God, she’s impossible and embarrassing. FML

Today, I turned in an essay after staying up late to work on it. I was away when the teacher assigned it, so I'd asked my friend what the subject was. It transpires that she'd given me the wrong one, all because she was mad at me for not returning her pencil. FML

Today, my mom woke me up in the middle of the night to make me help my brother write an essay. I read what he wrote so far, gave him my suggestions, and went back to bed. She woke me up 30 mins later because he just sat and stared at his paper instead of fixing anything. Somehow that's my fault. FML

Today, I was busy writing my English final paper and all of a sudden my computer just chose to freeze. I thought Microsoft Word would save it, but alas, 4 pages down the dumpster. Plus my earphones stopped working and I can't afford to buy a new pair. FML

Okay, first off..eight pages sounds like a college-level essay, and a laptop is pretty much a college essential. Assuming you are a college student..why is she still confiscating electronics anyway?...YDI for having an F, thou. And to the douche who says having an F in English could be a result of not being a native of an English speaking country..you're even dumber than your statement because any one in their right mind knows that English class does not only consist of speaking english.

Ever heard of AP classes? Those are college level classes that you take in high school for college credit. it's likely that the OP is in an AP English class, where you'd likely be writing 5 pages for essays

I'm in an AP English class and my teacher has never asked for anything for than 2 page double spaced 12-point-font Times New Roman font...

I was in an IB Higher Level English class, which is more or less the same thing as AP, and we had to write plenty of papers longer than just 2 pages, as did a friend of mine, who took an AP courses.

It's due tonight and you don't even have one page yet. Instead of blaming your mom, you should grab a piece of paper and a pencil and get to work. It's not as if it's her fault you are receiving an F to begin with. As for the internet and turning it in? You can access online and the computer at a library or a friends house.
