Today, I asked my dad to pick me up from school, he said he couldn't. Why? he was busy playing world of warcraft for the night. I got to walk the 3 hours home while my 49 year old dad played computer games. FML

3 hours home? that must be like 12 miles...this story doesn't seem very likely to be true..don't you have anyone else to pick you up? is there no bus or train? couldn't you order a cab? are you ******* STUPID that you had to walk?

If the OP lives in the suburbs, it's very likely that there is no bus, train, or regular cab service. Why she couldn't call ANYONE ELSE to pick her up, though, remains unanswered. I think I'd try everyone I could think of before I'd walk for three hours straight! And what a shitty dad!!

i wouldn't have even walked...i would have sat there and waited for someone to get me...if anything, one of the teacher would offer a ride home and yeah...where i live, we don't have a cab or train or anything

Walking, it's three hours. The college I go to at the moment... shit I don't even want to think about how far it is WALKING... but driving, it's forty minutes.

It takes her 3 hours to WALK from school to home. That could mean like 10 minutes of driving. If I had to walk to school, it would take around 5 hours, and it takes 25 minutes to drive there. Next time, before you call fake, THINK.

It takes the average person 20 minutes to walk a mile. That's 3mph. Is it really that implausible that her school is about 9 miles away?

9 miles isn't far away at all for a school! my school is more than 25 miles away. not to mention, if she goes to a private school, she probably has to go further than the average public school. in some other states, the nearest school is 30 or 40 miles away. where is 9 miles so far away? (that's not meant to be condescending, i actually do want to know)
