Today, I bought a home at a bargain. It will need 5 grand in repairs to fix plumbing and electric, but it's mine. When I pulled up the listing to show pictures to my friends, there was a new listing that was in the same neighborhood, and a larger, nicer house that is move in ready. Same price. FML

You have 30 days to back out of the contract. Have a go at trying to get out of it.

Aw, don't feel too bad. You only overpaid by five grand. Once you learn that the faulty plumbing caused 50 grand in foundation damage, then, you can feel bad.

Ok what is the complaint about? Ask the vet in a wheelchair living under a bridge if that would bother him.

There was a house in my parents' Neighborhood that sat vacant for 4yrs until it finally sold. The owner died, and a contractor hired to paint the interior had a heart attack and died while painting. Nobody wanted the house after that despite the price being lowered to real cheap. One buyer moved in and literally abandoned it about 5 mos later.

Op- u should have a 3 day rescission clause.

Hey, you've got a house. That's more than a lot of people can say.

Yes, but if its bigger and nicer, the price will be brought up by other buyers and probably cost more than what your about to put into your house, so don't be too downed about it

Well crap. I'm sorry that happened to you, OP. It's never fun when unpleasant coincidences happen. If you were working with an agent, you should ask them why they didn't tell you about the move-in-ready house earlier.

Withdrawl your offer and take that housd

Welcome to owning a home in this day and age

That really really sucks I'm sorry ... There's really nothing you can do but work with what you have got

That really sucks, but the optimistic people here are probably right; a nice, big house for so cheap sounds fishy.
