Never introduce a girlfriend to your parents if you are not 100% sure that she'll be the woman of your life!
Never? Really? How often are teenagers 100% sure of ANYTHING, let alone if the person they're dating is the one they'll eventually marry?
Doc teenagers are 100% sure of everything...Untill they change there mind
Just that?
#16 because that is really going to make OP's parents like him more.
The following comment is based on the assumption that OP is a teenager and living at home. OP's real age is not known at this time. The dad could have said that because the girlfriend was trying to be a good girlfriend and be kind and respectful towards OP's parents in order to impress them and be in good standing with them, while OP talks back, doesn't clean his room, leaves dishes and laundry for someone else to do and in general behaves like most teenagers do with their parents. Still, OP's dad is not going to win the dad of the year award. That was very tactless and hurtful.
the preceding comment was too long and speaking to the obvious
# I agree that everything #17 said were assumptions but if they're right, it's sounds pretty spot on. I've had boyfriend's parents like me more than my boyfriends because I was extra respectful (because I was company). It was still a pretty dick thing for OP's dad to say
It seems OP's father meant that OP could have made an effort to stay with this girl for a longer time. Maybe she was really nice.
No, mother's worst then this
Maybe they just thought you finally were happy, and they liked her for you.
Story of my life
Im sure they were joking to lighten the mood.
Were your parents trying to be funny in some way?
Why did you break up with her?
She is a sweetheart!

Honestly, nothing to say except your parents obviously have no respect for you and your supernatural hearing talents.
He will get over it, OP. Don't let him bring you down. You do what's best for you.
