Today, I called my very overprotective father, and he took the time to tell me how proud he was of me for finally finding a good and respectable boyfriend. And that he was sorry he misjudged. I was calling for bail money to get my "good, respectable" boyfriend out of jail. FML

I'm just wondering what he did to end up in jail in the first place.

Is this the second half of the story about the pair who were caught skinny-dipping by the daughters cop father?

Yes because the fml clearly states how OP got or did'nt get the money...

Even if he wasn't overprotective...why would it ever be HIS responsibility to bail YOUR boyfriend out of jail??

when my parents were dating, my dad was arrested for accidentally taking a pig from the wrong property than they'd bought it from. my mom's dad offered her one get out of jail free card, and she used it on him. my grandpa gladly bailed out my dad when everything was explained.

I guess I don't understand why you were calling your parents instead of his- with the exception everyone in his family is dead, I don't get it.

Why would you call your OVERPROTECTIVE father to bail your boyfriend out of jail? Call your boyfriends parents at least they might actually want to release him.

Sorry 48 I totally snaked your comment. Didn't see on my first pass. I now have to do thumbs down my own comment. :(

Hahaha something tells me karma is somewhere involved

I suggest you come up with a creative reason for why he's in jail. Try using the phrase " religious persecution"

Would It Be Respectable To Ask For Gas Money Also To Get To The Jail.
