Lose your parents trust, it's what all the stupid kids are doing this year.
Why would you call your dad in the first place if you knew he didn't approve of him? You could have tried calling everyone else before calling him.
Use some common sense. Overprotective father bailing someone out of jail that is not his child.... Hmmmmm....... Yeah, you'd have be a genius to realize he probably didn't give her the money.
My dad's advice throughout my life was to "quit school and learn some real skills at home". Fathers don't always know best.
OP, you date **** ups. Your dad is not OVERprotective. Next time give that nice guy friend who you think of like a friend a chance.
What the heck? You went from making a totally valid point to some irrelevant and kind of creepy "next time date a Nice Guy like me" type of advice. The "guy friend who really wants to be your boyfriend but won't tell you so you should just go date him, he deserves it!" is pretty much the posterboy of Nice Guys. I don't mean genuine nice guys - I mean manipulative creeps who think they're entitled to a girl's affection because they're always So Nice.

I'm just wondering what he did to end up in jail in the first place.
Is this the second half of the story about the pair who were caught skinny-dipping by the daughters cop father?
