Today, I came back to my appartment to find that I couldn't watch certain channels on my tv. When I called the tv company I found out my parents had put a 'parental block' on all my favorite channels. Im 22 and rent an appartment with my friends. FML

I don't see how your parents could do this, unless they own the cable account and pay your bill (at age 22)... so you deserve this.

Can't you just tell the company to remove the block? If you can't because your parents are paying the bill, then I suggest that you and your roommates start drumming up a little extra cash to pay for your own.

uhh why do they have access to your cable account if you don't live with them? #49, i respect your defense of OP, but if someone's parents helped with ONE thing, i don't think it'd be the cable bill. really.

my guess is that they're probably helping pay for the rent and whatnot, so they do have some control over it.... sucks to be you

wow, its like none of you guys have ever heard of being in college. 22 isnt that old to still be a dependent. no one in my family is paying for themselves yet and my sister is 24. school. trust me it gets old.

#23 you'd be surprised at what some parents think are inappropriate channels and will block: MTV, HBO, etc.

38 is right ...everyone thinks that just cuz he has an apartement he has to pay for things on his own. apartements and cable cost money dumb *****. ppl can have some financial help from parents. I know 30 yr olds still living at home.I no that's weerd but a 22 yr old w/ a little help ? that's normal. and no one cares abt spelling
