Today, I came back to my appartment to find that I couldn't watch certain channels on my tv. When I called the tv company I found out my parents had put a 'parental block' on all my favorite channels. Im 22 and rent an appartment with my friends. FML

I don't see how your parents could do this, unless they own the cable account and pay your bill (at age 22)... so you deserve this.

Can't you just tell the company to remove the block? If you can't because your parents are paying the bill, then I suggest that you and your roommates start drumming up a little extra cash to pay for your own.

dude...you fail at life...i'm 18 and my parents pay for everything...but wow...i've NEVER in the 14 years i've had computer and tv...had a block put on my things...thats just...fail...

yeah you're not a minor, so unless they pay the bill and its under their name they can't do anything. and if they pay, shame on you for giving them the bill at 22, you deserve that LOL

Your roommates must be pissed at you. All the people giving the OP crap for misspelling "apartment," it's called a typo. S/he hit the "p" one too many times, it's an honest mistake. And none of you know what the OP is doing or why the parents are, apparently, paying the cable bill. OP could be paying the rent, college tuition, or something else, and just need a little help. Back off.

If the OP is renting....maybe the parents arent paying. And for those giving the OP flack, I hope your situation is the same so your parents can put a block on your favorite channels too
