Today, I came home from work to find that my girlfriend had sold all of my N64 and Atari games and both the consoles and bought me a PS4 with the money. While I was standing there in shock, she kissed me on the cheek and said, "I know, I'm the greatest." FML

Childhood Ruined... I'm so sorry

She probably (hopefully) had the best intentions, but that doesn't explain why she thought it was normal to sell someone else's possessions.

Why are you freaking out she got rid of some old toys and bought you a new ones she's being sweet it's the thought that counts not the stupid toys

Because she sold stuff that did not belong to her? How is that in any way "sweet"?

No, it's not sweet to sell someone else's possessions. That's called theft. I know that's probably a hard concept for you, cus you sound like the same sort of ignorant twat that sold his stuff, but try and wrap your head around it. Your stuff is your stuff. Their stuff is their stuff. To decide that their stuff is dumb and then getting rid of said stuff is horribly disrespectful to the other person. It's their stuff, and you have no right to it. I don't care what it is. It's not yours. "You know that pile of old dusty jewelry your beloved grandma left you? I sold it and got you this necklace! Aren't I the greatest?"

Plot twist. The ps4 wasn't for you, it was for her, and she sold your consoles and games to make room for it.

This needs a follow up OP, what did you say to her? Are you able to get the consoles and games back?

I'm assuming you haven't been together long...or she is dumb. Everybody and their mother should know how ******* awesome those consoles are! I'd be mad. And this is coming from a gf of a gamer. Never ever touch their gaming shit unless told otherwise! (But i like them myself too, lol) :)

I hope karma makes a personal point to visit this one

As a girl who knows nothing about video games (probably like your gf) I don't see the big deal, she was trying to make you happy and get you something she thought you'd like. Maybe just talk to her about it but you can't get mad

You mean you don't have boundaries either? Where you will just sell someone elses property (even if it's to buy them something else?) Not saying it wasn't cute or that I'll get mad because of it, but if you sold my "crappy car" to buy me a "less crappy car" I'd probably call the cops since that's theft and fraud.

It's a big deal because OP's old consoles and games meant soo much to OP, and were taken away from him/her without warning, and replaced with something he/she didn't want as much as he/she wanted his old consoles and games.

Imagine your BF sells some of your favorite clothing you really like and had for years without asking you to buy you a hot new piece of clothing youll probably like. Would you find that nice? Or your favorite plush thats sitting around in the house and you have since you were 5 to get you a new better one.

This would be more like your husband selling your wedding ring and several other pieces of expensive jewlery. The old game consols and the games are getting rarer every day and the prices are going up as well.

Selling other people's things is wrong. Selling. Other. People's. Things. Is. Wrong. Repeat as necessary, please. So you don't sell someone's games, or books, or collectibles, or ANYTHING. Selling other people's things is wrong. It's not yours. You can't sell it, or give it away, or throw it away. That's called theft. Theft. Stealing is wrong. OP's gf is wrong. You're wrong for thinking OP shouldn't get mad. She stole from him. Her intentions just show how little respect she has for him and his possessions.

I don't know anything about gaming systems either. I do however know that that is something that no one should ever do, unless OP decided to do it himself. He can get as mad as he wants, hell, he can even press charges if he wants.

I'm sorry, OP! For some reason, the moment to do the Homer Simpson via Bart to her came to mind.

GO TO 420 Guthrie st., Greensburg,PA. YOU WILL FIND AN AMZING COLLECTION OF OLD GAMING SYSTEMS. ITS CALLED THE WARP ZONE I THINK.

If my husband did that, I'd be so pissed.
