Today, I came home to find my dad crying. Turns out my parents are getting divorced because my mom had an affair. With a teacher at my school. A female teacher. And the school isn't going to fire her because she's a good teacher. Every day at school I'm going to have to see her. FML

Why should the school board fire her? It's the teacher's private life and she's not having an affair with one of the students, so why should it be a problem at school? It's gonna be awkward for you and I understand that you must be really upset about it, but you not liking her shouldn't be a reason for her to lose her job.

ouch, I feel really bad for your dad, sounds like he was pretty torn up about it. As for the woman being your teacher, that's incredibly awkward...I highly doubt anyone will get upset if you skip that class frequently...

Hey if they won't fire her, Make her quit. Tell everyone in your school about your situation; have her students boycott her class/steal her gradebook, rip it up, or return it with some crap smeared onto the pages etcetc) Okay maybe that's a tad immature.. Maybe you should just write a lot of hate letters -erm i mean letters strongly expressing how you feel about the situation. Hope everything works out for ya.

Did the teacher have a butch haircut? That should have been a giveaway. On a serious note, that serisouly sucks. I think your dad is really gonna need you. Be sure to build him up but I wouldn't badmouth your mom.

I feel really sorry for your dad and I'm sorry your parents are splitting up. That's a terrible situation for both you and him to be in. That said... Why the **** would they fire a teacher for her personal life? It has nothing to do with her ability to perform at work.
