Good solution, I don't get the FML
honestly, it's like a pressure dressing. highly absorbant, designed specifically for blood, sterile, and has a built in way of holding its self on the wound. honestly, when i was with Search and Rescue, we were required to carry one pressure dressing, and 3 pads. why? because they're a buttload cheaper, and do the same job. i still keep some on hand (in my kit) for that very reason.
Not an FML (unless it so happened that he used the last one and you needed it at the time). If anything, applaud his ingenuity and thriftiness!
Stupid America without a 'free - paid for by taxes' health care system.. UK rules!
Um... There are some countries where free health care is kind of crappy (ex: Canada) So I don't think that its stupid we don't have free health care. I don't want my tax money to go to other people. Its my money - I earned it. If it works for the UK, then awesome, go you. But don't say that America is stupid for not having free health care.
I live in canada, nothing wrong with the health care system. That's the american politicians against Obama's health care reform telling you that and brainwashing you. Thousands of Americans die each year simply because they can't afford to go to the Dr. That's ridiculous.
I actually heard that this is a really bad idea. The pad is designed to absorb a lot of blood quickly, so quickly that it doesn't have time to clot. You could lose a lot of blood that way if you're holding it right on the wound.
It doesn't keep absorbing the blood once it's full! You aren't going to keep gushing out, anyways. Even facecloths, tissues, paper towels... they're all absorbent. BUT, they're used to put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding.
At least you didn't have to pay a ridiculous hospital bill.
you guys need to pay for stitches in your country? Thats weird.
haha hes like that guy on tge add
