Today, I came out as transgender to my extremely accepting and religious family over Facebook. My feed is currently flooded with plans for my exorcism. FML

I've generally found while someone's family might be ok with someone else being gay, trans or bi it becomes a completely different thing if it is in their own family. Sorry to hear that OP, much support here.

Yes some people don't mean to be mean about misgendering a person. However there are people who do not respect trans people. They will use the pronouns of what the person was assigned at birth, and not respect their pronouns. They will even call trans people "it" or "tranny." It really depends on the context and the person.

Something like this shouldn’t have been done over Facebook.

Not sure why you would come out to your family on Facebook, these sort of things should be done face to face.

Cos they want attention. If you have to do it on social media then it’s purely attention seeking.

I'd like to know what IT's plans are for the exorcism, maybe they should check to see if there are any gender fluid demons

don't people TALK anymore, this is not a conversation to be had over facebook.

I assume the 'extremely accepting' bit is sarcasm.

Might as well have some fun with this. Tell them you are also into *********** and necrophilia. Overly religious people are fun to mess with.

Do you know anyone (religious or otherwise) who doesn't find necrophilia and *********** incredibly wrong?

This is where you make it backfire, and embrace Satan until they leave you alone. Or, if you wish, continue worshiping Satan regardless.

OP, if you're looking for sympathy you can find it in the dictionary somewhere between shit and syphilis. 👍

I thought it was sex and syphilis lol
