Today, I came out to my dad. He called me weak minded and said that he has never been more disappointed in me. I didn't come out as gay. I came out as a vegetarian. FML

Hell, When I have a son I'll be more disappointed that he's vegetarian rather than gay Homosexuality isn't a choice, not eating the most delicious actual food on the planet is

YDI for being vegetarian. Eat meat like a real man.

gah. i have a similar problem, i refuse to eat meat, but whenever i remind my mother of this [who always fills my plate up with meat] she's like, but you have to eat something proper! and when i say i'll make my own meals, she accuses me of wasting food -sigh- lol

You can't get any more pussy than a ******* vegetarian. **** you, I'm fine with gay people, but I ******* HATE vegetarians.

how does being gay make you weak minded..? **** your dad's life for being a complete douche bag

That's because you're ignorant and a bigot.

lmao @ all of the meat-eaters saying they're better. lmao @ all of the vegans/vegetarians legitimizing what they do. All I have to say is, why does it matter? None of you [most likely] actually know each other in real life anyway. Bottom line: We're classified as omnivores. One may have a carnivorous or herbivorous lifestyle, but we're still omnivores. It doesn't matter what we eat.

Actually, and I know this because it was my Torah portion, if you believe in the Bible or in G-d/Goddess/whatever, according to the Bible, there were no meat eaters before the flood. But after G-d went to all that trouble to save the only non-corrupt animals on earth (i don't know how an animal can be corrupt, but that's what it says in the Torah. anyone who wants to discuss this, I wrote my Torah interpretation on it, so I'd love to!) He then said that we could eat them! So we started eating animals after the Flood, according to the Bible. According to evolution (which I believe is still compatible with religion, and not a separate topic), our bodies have evolved to be able to eat meat. That doesn't mean it's good for us, and we're perfectly capable of eating very healthfully, especially now that we can just go to our local grocery store and get soy milk and tofu and seitan and tempeh and TVP, it couldn't be easier. BUT, it's also very possible and easy to eat very healthfully with meat in your diet. I am a vegetarian for multiple reasons, but I respect meat eaters and vegans alike. As long as you don't bash my choices, I'm not going to bash yours. It's a personal choice and doesn't hurt anyone.

Ha! My fam owns a steakhouse, and vegetarian is a dirty word. Sucks to be you.

You know being a vegetarian has been proven to **** your bones? Get ready for osteoporosis!!!! For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat 5 to make up for it. So being a vegetarian is pretty pointless unless you just don't like the taste of meat.
