Today, I came out to my dad. He called me weak minded and said that he has never been more disappointed in me. I didn't come out as gay. I came out as a vegetarian. FML

Today, I came out as gay to my dad on Whatsapp. The only thing he replied was, "I'll ever talk to you again when you stop being a pussy." He then blocked me from everywhere. FML

Today, when I told my family I was a vegetarian, I expected them to make fun of me because that's just my family. But what I wasn't expecting was my dad to use raw meat as a puppet and make it say, "Eat me! Eat me!" then throw it at my face. FML

My parents reacted the same way. They also snuck meat into my food for the first few months. And then attempted to quite literally starve me into eating meat again by buying absolutely nothing vegetarian friendly in the way of groceries.

First of all, most vegetarians do not infringe upon a person's right to eat meat. If you eat meat, then that is YOUR business, not mine. Just because television shows and movies portray vegetarians and vegans as crazy, radical, in-your-face kind of people doesn't mean they actually are. If people don't condemn you for what you eat, then you have no right to tell them that what they are doing is stupid and wrong. Learn to respect people's beliefs, just because you do one thing doesn't mean its right for everybody.
