Your life sucks because your boyfriend cheated on you, but why would you max out a credit card on Christmas presents? What if you needed it for necessities, such as paying your bills or buying groceries? You could lose your job and then what? SIGH.

Sorry to hear about that, OP. It doesn't sound like a healthy relationship to start off with though. Hope you're to return those items and restructure financially. Gifts are nice gestures, but they shouldn't be the strongest element to keep couple together.
