On a Forum? Oh boy... Ouch. Now I'm NOT going to say "you're a fool" (I'm sure you are doing that enough on your own in the mirror.) Only guys that are jealous, suspicious, controlling will publicize and profess their love for a chick in public like that... Sometime its cool like "Will you marry me" bit if you have been solid for like 5yrs... but not in the beginning dating game. Especially if you don't have her confirmed as your girl yet. You have: 1. Alerted all others interested in her that you like her and now they might start to compete against you. 2. Made her feel "Un-Safe" by exposing privacy. 3. Made yourself look weak by not keeping your own emotions in check. 4. Killed, pissed & and stomped on any chance you had at romance with her. This is not being said to make you feel worst. It's so you learn, and know what you can do to regain some respect from her and know where you should cut your loss. 1. You can't do anything about 1. Cut your loss or be way more attractive & rich (& I know those aren't the main things women want. I'd say be more charming but you already did your best there...) 2. Best you can do is say sorry. (That's if she will even stop to look at you.) 3. Only time can change this... and I mean by others forgetting / Not you learning. I know you learned a lesson but it does not take your shame away does it? 4. You can do one thing... (This is a Man trick - NO CHICKS ALLOWED) Okay... No you got to get her alone & talk to her. Have your arms crossed like you are protecting yourself from her... Apologize for 2. word for word. Say this and don't screw it up: "I'm really sorry... ...bla bla bla... I think you are an awesome person and I hope I will find SOMEONE ELSE like you someday. I can understand if you don't want to be friends, but... for me that's as far as this goes." Stick out your hand for a hand shake. (refuse a hug) Turn & and walk the hell away. Don't look back and be a sissy b%$#! Keep walking. This might repair the "Secret-Chase" game that you jacked up. But i doubt it. Best to just move states and learn that the "Secret-Chase" game is what its all about. NEVER say it you fool! Even if everyone knows and you've been flirting for years. Never say it. YOU HAVE TO SHOW IT.
