You don't deserve this. You were asking for it, criticizing your mother who you would know by now is a bitch, but anyone who publicly scolds someone for publicly criticizing them is a hypocrite. I am a call-em like I see em kind of guy, and don't sugar coat things for my children, but even I think that was overly harsh. Also, to the person who had the tangent about children not being property, under US law children are defined as being the property of their parents or guardians. I am not saying it is right, just that that is how it is. Having someone responsible for you is very similar to being in prison, and you are/can be deprived of some of your most basic human rights i.e. privacy or free will. To the poster who rants and raves about adoption, I hope you are running a god-damned foster care or else STFU!!!

I don't know your mother, obviously, but I'm willing to bet she apologized for the slight later on, even if she's a bitch she must know this is a sensitive subject for you.
