Today, I corrected my mom in front of our family while she was ragging on my 12 year old cousin who got a piercing. She said, "You don't understand you don't have kids, but on the other hand you probably never will!" I have Polycystic ovary syndrome, she is right, I probably never will. FML

Today, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and confided in my mom, after being told I would have trouble having kids. Five minutes later, I hear the whole family laughing about it downstairs. FML

Today, I told my mom I was thinking of having a baby. She told me it was a huge mistake because children cost a fortune, make you miserable, and if she'd had her chance again she would have gotten her tubes tied when she was 18 and saved herself the grief. Gee, thanks mom. FML

Today, my mom had to go off on my grandmother because I don’t have kids yet and she, "wants great grand babies before she dies." My grandmother was going to gift me a baby outfit for me to get another hint. I’m 25 and can’t conceive because of health issues. I may never have my own kids. She knows. FML

Today, my mom asked me out of the blue if I was ever going to consider getting married. It wasn't until after the conversation ended that I remembered my siblings are all either single like I am, or incapable of having children. I am my mother's last hope of becoming a grandma, and she reminds me all the time. FML

I have PCOS, too! But, I'm not too concerned. I plan on having 4 kids and I want them to be my own. Your mom was wrong to say that though.

Hey, don't worry too much... My mom and I both have PCOS, and she has three kids, and as far as I know, I'm fertile, although I haven't yet tried to have kids.

ugh i have pcos too, it sucks!! but just having it doesn't mean you probably can't have kids. when i was first diagnosed, the doc told me i MIGHT have trouble getting pregnant and would maybe have to take meds to boost my fertility, but that i prob could have babies.

omg...your mom is a jerk...I am so sorry for you...I also have pcos but it doesnt really mean that you wont be able to have children it just means that it is just going to be harder to have children...I do feel bad for you though because I feel the same way sometimes

That is not necessarily true. I have PCOS and Type 2 diabetes and have two beautiful children one of which I got pregnant with on Birth Control. MIracles do happen do not give up hope or faith!

PCOS only slightly hinders the ability to get pregnant. It's not impossible to get pregnant, just harder. I also have PCOS. I understand your feelings about a ragging mother. Mine always tells me I need to lose weight and thinks I'm fat. I hear ya!!!
