Today, I decided it would be funny to give my friend a peanut that had fallen on the floor. I hid it in his food, and started laughing when he ate it. It turns out he is allergic to peanuts. His family hates me now. FML

You really do deserve that. Peanut allergies are common. If I was his family, I'd hate you too for doing something like that without thinking.

YDI for not knowing, call yourself his friend?

Please post again when they sue your stupid ass for attempted murder :P (you know it's a possibility too) Otherwise, you deserve it for being a douche, and I would watch your food from now own, he may drop a cat turd or something in it for ya.

For it to be attempted murder, the OP would have to have *intended* to kill their friend.

It has been my experience that any FML that starts with "I thought it would be funny to..." or "As a joke I..." ends up being a YTDI. This is no exception. Not only was that gross but also dangerous. How could you not think that your friend could be allergic to peanuts? Nut allergies are somewhat common. Plus there are some more people who simply don't like nuts. Nuts are dangerous to put in people's food.

Wow. I would most likely have died if a friend did that to me ... really scary ... YDI.

True that Snickerdoodles! lol

^ Word. Snickerdoodles is one of my favorite FML'ers because she ruffles everyone's feathers. Pissing people off on the internet is almost as funny as killing someone with a peanut.

Because you're British and saying anything while using a British accent makes it awesome. If a British guy told me they "shagged" my mom, I'd call him daddy and ask for my allowance.

*he Son of a bitch. Snickerdoodles would be disappointed.

how is that funny? hes eating a dirty peanut harharhar?

well, how could the allergy person not notice a peanut in their food...

Has anyone considered that maybe his friend didn't know he was allergic to peanuts either? I'm not defending OP but if friends tell each other these things, but he didn't, maybe it's because he didn't know yet? Either way, grow up OP, YDI.
