Today, I decided that I was going to get my front license plate put back on my car after two years of having it off. In these two years I somehow never got pulled over for it, as it is illegal to drive without one in MD. On my way there, I got pulled over for not having a front license plate. FML

Why did you drive without the plate for two years? o.O

Can't you put your plates on by yourself?

lol you should have said you just got them stolen and were just going to get new ones

I don't get why you didn't just put it on yourself....but That's life. I'm from WV and couldn't get a new inspection sticker because my windshield was cracked. I got a new windshield...and on the way to get a new inspection sticker put on said windshield got pulled over. Totally feeling your pain.

So basically it's a FML because you were finally caught for KNOWINGLY doing something illegal? Your fault.

why was it off in the first place i think i know what was going through your head "im above the law and even though everyone else has to have a front license plate im gonna take mine off(not put mine on?) to be AWESOME!" ydi idiot its not that much of a problem to put a license plate on...it takes like a minute but you shoulda told the cop it got stolen and were on your way to get a new one

YDI for driving somewhere to put your plate on. It's not hard.

#12 He deserves it because he left his car in a state that he KNEW was illegal for TWO FRIGGIN YEARS. #57 Two plates are far from redundant; you'll realise that when you get involved in an accident and only see the front of the other car, or the CCTV camera you have set up to watch your home and business gets rendered useless in tracking down the car the robbers used because they parked facing the camera, or any number of other reasons. It's a little hypocritical of me, though, as I ride a motorcycle, and they're exempt from displaying a front plate. ^_^

Maybe the OPs front plate was stolen or she/he lost it and therefore had to go get a new one before putting it on?! In Germany you always have to have two license plates...that's because we don't have cops with radar guns, we have speeding cameras everywhere and in the nice picture they will see your face and your plate number -_- those things can be a bitch :D
