Today, I decided to light a candle in my room. Since fire intrigues me, I put an old brochure into it. Paper burns fast, and now my carpet has a big, black burn mark. FML

I love fire and playing with lighters as much as the next pyro, but you have to have some common sense. Next time play with fire on the counter 6 inches away from your sink, trust me it works better and as far as I know I counter top will not light up from a single brochure.

Lucky your carpet is all that burnt. Having a candle is all well and dandy, but not respecting the destructive power of fire has bad consequences. What if your house burnt down from your curiosity. Explain that to whoever you live with. I don't think they'd be impressed.
