Today, I defended the dried up things in the cup noodles as being real vegetables, just so that it would appear that I do actually eat vegetables. FML

To me, ketchup is a vegetable. Beer has hops - that's a vegetable! Chocolate is made from cacao beans - VEGETABLE!!

You defended them? Did someone challenge you about it?

I know so many people that hate all vegetables. Who cares. If you don't like them, you don't like them.

Enslaved - You can have mine then Blegh

88. You need veggies in your diet. The surgeon general is no dumb dumb. Live long and prosper!

Unless you still live at home I doubt anyone actually cares if you eat vegetables. My husband doesn't eat them unless you count ketchup or pasta/pizza sauce.

Why should parents be the only ones concerned about good nutrition? I would hope to marry someone who cares enough about my welfare to help me make sure I am eating properly and getting all the nutrients I need.

Because when you get married, your spouse is (presumably) an adult, and adults should be able to choose what they do and don't eat. Parents are there to make sure their children make good choices and develop good habits, good eating habits included. But that doesn't translate to marriage.

The age old tale. Women marry men hoping they will change and men marry women hoping they never change.

Too bad tomatoes are a fruit so none of what you said counts as veggies

There are many a way to make vegetables delectable. Just saying.

If drowning in cheese or brown sugar and butter then yes. Otherwise, not so much.

Not necessarily true. Grilled with a little bit of garlic salt, or shush kabobs.

Gawd, now I'm wanting to sauté some portobellos in garlic butter for lunch... (drool)

Grilled with a little garlic salt means you can still taste the actual vegetable. That means yuck. The point of cooking them in good tasting stuff is to mask the nasty taste of the vegetable. To some people, veggies just taste absolutely disgusting. If I can taste actual vegetable in there, it'll often times make me throw up.
