Today, I dropped my kid into a crowded wishing fountain instead of a coin. FML

Wait, you were trying to make a wish or a human sacrifice?

Idk, I guess that wishes with sacrifices are faster than the regular ones

It must be because you are dehydrated. Find a vending machine that takes coins/kids and get yourself a nice cool drink.

I just feel sorry for ur kid...but it's hilarious

How does one drop their kid into a coin, exactly? The wishing fountain sounds like it'd be an easier vector.

Lol I don't think you understood the FML correctly. OP dropped their kid into the fountain, not a coin. He meant he threw the kid instead of throwing a coin.

I believe #15 was criticizing the grammatical structure of this FML. "Dropping my kid into a fountain instead of a coin" makes it sound like the kid could otherwise be dropped into a coin. It's like dangling a participle, but it's not...

I'm still trying to figure out how someone even mistakes their child for a coin....

Did you drop a golden child, or a silver child?

Fishing the kid back up revokes the wish, but most likely you would want to have a slightly angry wife and a wet kid then being alone with that random shnazy car you wished for.
