Xanax doesn't work instantly and the OP noticed that she ate the wrong thing long before it would have started working. If she saw the Xanax on the floor after washing the litter down with some water than I'm guessing this all happened in a period of a few minutes. There wouldn't have been time for her brain to trick her body.

did it work? if so, you just found a great cheap narcotic free placebo for Xanax!! if not, just double up on pills, and forget about it.

it's disgusting that the OP would even consider taking a pill that fell on the floor next to a litter box.
I know! So gross! I was surprised no1 had mentioned this yet! Obviously if they have cat litter randomly lying around the house, their place isn't that hygienic. Dont eat of the floor! Eww!

if you have ever had a cat you know they kick litter out of th litter box when they use it, it happens to everyone they're not NOT clean they just don't prefer cleaning up after their cats at all times...
43-Seriously! You'd have to be chasing your cats around with a vacuum and a swiffer 24/7.
