atleast your long-distance beau isn't one of the douches that cheat on you with your sister :D
At best this belongs on mlig.com; at worst mylifeisaverage.com Why are you upset because your LONG DISTANCE boyfriend remembered your anniversary and tried to surprise you? This is a great story!
Haha you probably passed him on the way!
McFinder, name calling....nice. When you get out of Junior High, and in the real world, I'm sure you will understand that name calling is pointless. Make sure you say "Hi" to your friend Paris Hilton for me. I do not think "surprising" a person with a visit is romantic in any kind of way. i think it's annoying and disrespectful. If the person knows you are not there/not going to to be there, then they are expecting some kind of private/alone time. Getting that interrupted by a surprise visit is not romantic at all! I never could understand why people think it's so highly romantic to do stuff like that. If I told my girlfriend that I needed some time to myself, I know she would respect my wishes and let me be. If you want to surprise you girlfriend or boyfriend, take them to dinner or something. YDI
He didn't say he wanted to be left alone and given space, he lived three and a half hours away and it was their anniversary so yes it is a romantic gesture.
I take that back; SarcasticAvegener (great name, btw) is the saddest person. Even sadder then whats-his-face. I simply don't see how anyone can see this as a that bad of a situation. Obviously they both care for each other enough to go completely out of their way to surprise each and struck a soft spot with me, oddly enough. It was cute. Deal with it. Also, Paris says wanted me to you howdy-do for her. HOWDY-DO!
You guys who think this is 'sweet' are ******* retarded. Yeah, thought that counts, but they both wasted a huge amount of gas for no reason. I'd be flamingly pissed off. Not at my boyfriend, I'd just meet him in the middle somewhere, but that's an ass-and-a-half kind of day.
I'm going to say, yeah, it's frustrating... but it's a nice change from those other "I came to surprise my significant other and oops! they're in bed with my best friend/neighbor/sister/etc." Yeah, FML, but because of circumstance over general douchebaggery and selfishness.
