Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

I would honestly have to agree. Opening night of Harry Potter matches no other.

pshh who wouldn't go watch Harry Potter instead *light bulb goes on in head* maybe you can have your birthday party at the movie theater!

Psht. Change ur date! People (including me) have been waiting FOREVER for this movie to come out since it was delayed. I honestly would have said the same thing.

IAW YOUR FRIENDS. HARRY POTTER >>>>>>>> ANYONE IN MY LIFE.

Stop being an uppity Massachusettsian. At least they told you in advance instead of not showing up to your party.

Either change the date, change the time, or see the movie with everyone. I'd choose the last one. Harry Potter is great and if a day is special already, why not make it better?

That's disappointing. Harry Potter sucks; it angers me how your friends could value subpar, terrible fiction more than their friend.

Harry Potter movie > birthday party. I'm sorry, but that's just life.

Not gonna lie, I would've said the same thing. Half the reason I'm annoyed about going on vacation in July is because I won't be here to dress up with my friends for the premiere. :C

Wtf, make your birthday party on a different date. Problem solved. I had to move the date of my sweet 16 two weeks later because there was another HUGE sweet 16 the same day. This is just poor planning on your part.

I'm not gonna lie- I'd totally skip the birthday for the movie. Harry Potter will more than likely be much more amazing.

I've gotta be honest, I would do the same thing as your friends. I mean, it's Harry Potter. Nothing is more important then Harry Potter :] Sad, I know :]
