Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

Today, it's been weeks since I made a Facebook page to arrange something for my birthday as no one was able to attend last year on short notice. Everyone was game but now everyone is flaking. One friend even said, "I'll see who RSVPs and then decide." FML

Today, the last person I invited to my birthday party called and said they couldn't come because another party "came up" and they "hope I understand". It's on December 31st. This happens every year without fail. FML

Today, I'm having my housewarming party and had prepared food, drink, and games for all the 19 confirmed guests on Facebook. I waited till 11, but nobody showed up. I checked Facebook again and realized I had accidentally put tomorrow as the party date. I have to work the whole day tomorrow. FML

Wow...your friends suck. But in all honesty, I'd ditch you too for HP anyday... Hells, the movie hits theaters on the 15th...I'll be in Central America at the end of next week till the 14th of July...the day BEFORE the movie comes out... Even I made vacation arrangements fit so I'll be back before the movie comes out! So you see...even eager vacationers are willing to end their trips early just for the sake of HP 6....your party didn't stand a chance from the moment you thought it up.... Sucks to be you, but major YDI for making your friends drop everything for a birthday party held on a WENDSDAY, of all days! Who the hell has a party on a wendsday? I'm in college and WE don't even have parties on Wendsdays...that's just poor planning on your part...

Solution: Have a Harry Potter themed birthday party and go watch Harry Potter towards the end of the party! If you hate Harry Potter, than that would be a problem.
