Make it part of the lesson. The boss can make rules, but is not subject to the rules. That is why it's good to be the boss. Like you. So study hard and do well in my class and one day you can sleep on the job too. Now shut up and finish copying the dictionary, I'm hitting the snooze button.
It's people like you that makes school worthwhile
Well thats not very nice of u ( the detention part) I have recently been falling asleep in,like evry class because all they do is talk bout the sat nd hspa itsss so boring but ive nvr gotten detention for it. (that might have more to do with the fact that im a ninja though lol)
I fell alsleep in bible today
Both high school students and teachers (especially if they're just starting out, or if they have a family at home) have a lot going on and are bound to be tired during the day at school. Falling asleep is a mistake, but it means not that the student or teacher doesn't care, just that they're really tired. That being said, detentions for falling asleep is a bit harsh, unless the students do it every day, or if they come into class put their head down and try to fall asleep, or if they refuse to get up when they teacher calls them out on sleeping. I fell asleep all the time in high school, and it wasn't because I didn't care because I loved school, it was because I got typically 5-6 hours of sleep. Many of my teachers would just call the sleeping student's name, sometimes tell the student to go get a drink of water or take a quick walk to wake up, and the students would wake up and be embarrassed about falling asleep and it wouldn't happen again that class. I actually sort of liked it when the teachers shouted at you but didn't punish you for it, because then you would never have a problem with falling asleep in their class again; they sort of scared you straight.
Wow. Now u know how it feels. U should be fired.
See you in detention ;D

Typical teacher.
Funny how hypocrisy works. Don't give detention. Just wake them up. YDI for falling asleep.
