well at least its a nice name! nothing difficult to read or pronounce at all. be happy!
This is cute. It's not an FML. Your parent's noticed how lonely your sister was and thought a sibling for her to play with would be a good idea. And since she had the imaginary friend, it would be easier to transition a new baby in the house. Then when she got older, she'd figure out the difference. Not a big deal. Least your name isn't a weird, random one.
i actually think thats really cute
To all the people saying it's cute, how would you feel if you were named after your sister's imaginary friend? It's just a little bit demeaning...
why is it demeaning?
It would slightly demeaning to be told your named after a siblings imaginary friend. On the plus op at least your sisters friend had a normal name, honestly you could've ended up with a name alot worse.
Thats if the story your parents are telling you is true. They may be messing around with you. I tell friends that my son Austin, is named after the professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin, even though he isn't, and my son knows its a gag and plays along with it. To me, it sounds like your parents are having a little fun with you.
Is it weird that I find this pretty neat? I mean, if you were young like her sister was and your parents told you they'd MAKE YOUR FRIEND COME TO LIFE...I'm sorry but that would just be badass.
okay, so your parents got pregnant and the easiest way to tell your little sister was to say that her imaginary friend was going to be real..... how is that bad? that's not bad at all. its better than them having you just so your little sister could have her imaginary friend.... and thats still not a big deal! thats what my parents did with my little brother... they had him so i would have someone to play with... and besides, i'd much rather have a name with a meaning rather than one just chosen by random....
so what? at least its not some crazy name or anything like that...
that's ****** awesome! you're the physical manifestation of someone's imagination

Aw cute! Well your sister must've gotten some joy out of that! It's not like Ashley is a crappy name anyways!
So... if I want to make my imaginary friend real... I just have to get a girl pregnant? That would be a great idea, if only girls would talk to me.
