Today, I filled out an online application for a internship. I didn't have all the info I need to complete it, but it wouldn't let me leave anything blank so to move along I filled in crap answers. I pressed "Save". It sent my draft in. I now have to explain that "Jesus" isn't actually my reference. FML

YDI op... Why didn't you just put N/A in for some answers?

Is there a more credible reference than a guy who may or may not have existed a few thousand years ago?

"Save" isn't the same as "submit". Although, if you need to be told that, you may not be qualified...

I think you might need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills before you attempt to engage in witty banter with anyone else.

To be honest, it's unprofessional that they labeled send as save. Hopefully they'll get a good laugh from their flawed application system. Be a good sport about it.

The Human Resources person probably doesn't know about that glitch, though. You could talk to them about it in a friendly way.

I would totally use Jesus as a reference. He loves me

He's been dead for two thousand years. Deal with it.

hey atleast they wanna interview you...you must be awesome to have jesus as a reference so, kudos!

I'm sorry OP but that's completely their fault for confusing between "Save" and "Submit" buttons!

Don't fill out paper work for internships if you don't have the information. Simple.

Time to become really friendly with a Mexican named "Jesus".

Are you implying that Jesus wouldn't be willing to give you a good reference, or just that the contact information you provided for Him might be inaccurate?
