Today, I finally put the finishing touches on my first vacation in over two years, due to my hellish work schedule. The Governor essentially just vetoed my vacation with evacuation orders. Thanks, Hurricane Irene. FML

I understand the hurricane is a terrible thing.... But what a selfish person you are... Some people will prolly die but the real tragedy is you didn't get to go on vacation..... Boo-hoo

I have no sympathy, if u dislike the results of hurricanes, GET OUT OF THERE!!! it really seems idiotic to rebuild maybe every year just because u like the location, same goes for tornado alley, if u don't like ur trailers being destroyed, then hitch it up and move on out of there

Yeah that would be a comment for FL area but the coast of SC up don't see hurricanes like this very often.. I believe the last one that was bad was like 8 years ago.. That was on the NC coast SC hasn't seen one since 89.. So why not have a home where you're happy if it doesn't happen that often. He can complain if he wishes. Your house can be destroyed no matter where you live... And the comment to the ppl in tornado alley was harsh.. Not everyone lives in a trailer.. And some ppl can't just "hitch up" and move

Obviously you are ignorant and uneducated. it's not like all of tornado alley is blown off the map every year and then it's rebuilt year after year. hurricanes don't wipe out the whole east coast either. OP wasn't asking for your sympathy. Sympathy from an idiot is worthless anyways. So, are you suggesting the whole country moves to the west coast? Use common sense, every region has it's threats.

Actually they didn't know where she was going till about Tuesday of this week. Frist it was FL, then GA, SC, and now NC
