Today, I finally put the finishing touches on my first vacation in over two years, due to my hellish work schedule. The Governor essentially just vetoed my vacation with evacuation orders. Thanks, Hurricane Irene. FML

Today, I have to reschedule the vacation I had planned for eight months because I have the flu, and feel too sick to go and enjoy myself at a waterpark. This vacation is the only thing that's kept me sane these last two months. FML

Today, I was enjoying my first vacation day in 2 years. My boss then called me to come in, saying it was an emergency. I got to work and got fired. Yes, my boss made me come in just to fire me. FML

Today, while on vacation, I got fired for not working a shift I wasn't scheduled for. Even after texting my boss a copy of my vacation approval letter, she still fired me. FML

Today, I lost my job for taking an unauthorized vacation. I just got married and requested time off for the wedding and honeymoon months ago; it was approved then. They forgot, and then got angry because I didn't remind them. I did remind them, the day before I left. FML

Today, after realizing I had 130 unused vacation hours, I requested two weeks off. My vacation time was denied, but my boss still gave me the time off. So I don't have work for 2 weeks, all unpaid. FML

Let's just all hope FEMA has their crap together this time...at least the governors have told ppl to get out. The ppl who don't are stupid... And if you say "some ppl don't have cars to leave" they provide buses for ppl to get out.

I live on the east coast I can the the Atlantic from my house I live on a street called Harbor Dr right now we have flashlights in every room hurricanes are unpredictable.

Get the hell over it. So what you had to cancel your vacation. Some people, like me, live right in the hurricanes path. Instead of worrying about your vacation, think about how thousands of people could potentially lose their homes, cars, or lives. Maybe that will give your life some prospective. The only positive thing about this hurricane is the tourists are leaving.
