lol ok so don't kill me it's just a thought but livewire1701 kind of gives me the impression that he/she is the OP
I don't think so, he/she keeps referring to the OP as a man but it's a woman.
that's what he/she wants you to think? lol
I'm not the OP. My parents have never borrowed a dime from me and I've never borrowed money from them. Oh and I appologize to the OP for refering to her as he. It's late and i'm reading fml to try to get sleepy.
No I am not the OP. My parents have never borrowed a dime from me nor have I borrowed money from them. The OP's dad does sound about as douchey as my fiancé's father though. My appologies to the OP for referring to her as a him. It's late and I'm trying to get sleepy. :)
I know how you feel, my father owes me six grand. I had to just cut my losses and tell him I couldn't help him out (if there is a) next time, since he has neglected to give me a single dollar of that money in the past three years. FYL OP. Hopefully you won't get evicted.
I'm sorry Asynja but FYL not OP's I'm sorry for my comment but dang that's just wow 6,000?
I know someone you could probably get $400 from... But it's all in $20 bills and the bills might have a little extra somethin'-somethin' on them from him rubbing them all over his naked self.
AME, I thought you weren't going to bring up your private life on FML anymore.
Good reference, even if that fml was a bit weird.
LOL
You have to make an effort to convey such things. In general, I have a pretty good sarcasm detector, but enough people say shit like you did in earnest and you had no indication either way... makes it difficult. Then again, there's always Poe's Law, too. Long story short, *indicate* your sarcasm somehow for more effective communication. Sorry for snapping at you like that, but this is a really sore issue for me. My family used to fall beneath the poverty line (built ourselves up pretty well since then, but social mobility takes a long-ass time or extreme luck). This didn't used to be much of an issue for me until I went to a private college with the other students having mostly come from upper-middle to upper class homes who never understood why I've never left the country or how my parents are not terrible people for not being able to afford me this or that luxury or whatnot and it eventually built up to the point where I couldn't take the bullshit any more. And, well, that brings us here. Cheerio, good sir, but please be more careful about your future communications.
your father owes you money? I would give all my money to my father and I would never ask him to return it.
How old are you and/or are you still his dependent? Nice ideal thinking, but it doesn't work very well when you need that money to make rent/buy food/pay other living expenses.
FYL and your dad is a piece of crap
what a nice dad
be careful about your future communications? his comment wasn't bad it was funny and I for one got the sarcasm. Dude I've seen worse comments. Lay off....
Please, tell me how you were able to distinguish this from somebody sincerely saying it, or trollishly saying it, given that that happens pretty often around here in a very similar format? There simply was not enough content in 4 tokens to establish tone whatsoever, and John Gabriel's GIFT is usually in effect, despite Hanlon's Razor. Fact of the matter is, there actually are a lot of people who do honestly think that the poor deserve to be poor and that they've brought it upon themselves and that if they would just work harder they could get themselves out of being poor and yada yada. _A_lot_ of people. I think it was fair to assume against sarcasm and to advise him to make himself clearer.
